Garner is once again answering the demand for affordable housing in their city. They are turning to a state program that addresses the issue according to Mayor Tim Schmidt.
Previous to the new Reynolds program, the city turned to the high school to build these homes.
Schmidt admits that the city would like to help promote any builder or developer who wants to construct homes in Garner. The state program will give the city a much-needed boost to add housing inside city limits.
The city hopes that by introducing housing like this into the city, it will keep new and current employees and their families involved in local business expansion to stay in Garner.
