Reynolds Visits the Mansion Museum

Governor Reynolds visited the historic Mansion Museum in Forest City on Friday afternoon. During her time at the more than a century old house, she took in historic documents, memorabilia, and photographs.

Reynolds also toured the Branstad Room, where artifacts and documents of former Governor Terry Branstad are on display. Branstad was the longest serving governor in United States history and items from his time growing up, through his governorship, and eventually ambassadorship to China have been collected at the museum.

Reynolds worked with Branstad early on and recalled a pilot project she helped start.

The chance to work on the project and get it approved by Branstad was significant for Reynolds.

Reynolds will return to Forest City in September and reunite with Branstad for a dedication of a vault at the Mansion Museum.
