The Forest City Water/Wastewater Department was apprised of a situation regarding the Winnebago Industries lagoon on the south end of the city. According to Department Manager Kevin Reicks, the situation was brought to light after an inspection of the site.
The site poses a danger also to anyone, particularly children who may come near the site. According to Reicks, the solution is a simple one.
Once the fencing is established, the site will be up to safety regulations, but this process may take some time.
The city will continue to explore options on re-installing the fencing.
