Britt Shines During RAGBRAI Pass Thru

Cyclists from around the U. S. and Canada converged on Britt on Wednesday as a part of RAGBRAI. The event drew enthusiasts and cycling teams who wanted to participate in the renowned event.

Louis Reiner from Cedar Rapids is no stranger to the annual event.

For him, this is a chance to renew old friendships and accomplish an annual goal.

The event drew riders who have fallen in love with the people of Iowa like Ed Linegoen. He was introduced to the race by a law enforcement group.

John Moore is in his 23rd year of riding in the bike tour. He admits that he is 70 years old and wants to keep doing this because every year there is something different.

Like Linegoen, Moore is impressed with the hospitality of Iowans.

Britt Mayor Ryan Arndorfer was very proud of all of the volunteers, coordinators, and city employees for staging the event without incident.

The riders rolled through town, stopping to eat and drink before heading through Klemme and onto Mason City for the night.
