The Forest City Aquatic Center has closed temporarily due to a mechanical failure according to City Administrator Daisy Huffman who informed the city council of the issue.
Now the city and the aquatic center are in a wait and see mode according to Huffman.
Once the pump returns back from service, it will be a couple days before the pool can be operational according to Huffman.
The city will notify the public when the pool returns back to operation.
