The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday morning beginning at 9am and begin by getting a monthly update from the Kossuth County Veterans Affairs Director and an annual report from the Treasurer’s Office.
The board will then move forward with the appointment of an EMS Advisory Council member. The board recently received a resignation prompting the need for an appointment on a board that makes recommendations to the board regarding the county’s EMS program and services.
The board will use American Rescue Plan monies or COVID relief funding to help pay for a Law Enforcement Community Liaison. the board will act on Resolution #07-19-22-01 to make the allocation possible.
The board will also have to fill two township vacancies. The board will appoint a Harrison Township Clerk and a Seneca Township Trustee after resignations were submitted in both positions earlier this month.
Drainage matters will be discussed next. These will involve a first change order for work being done on Lateral 28 in Drainage District 4. The repair work went over budget for the repairs spawning the need for the change order. The board will also process clean out applications for Drainage Districts 82 and 16. The board will hold two hearings involving drainage District 60. The first will be an improvement in Sub 1 beginning at 10am. The second will begin at 11am and will be an informal hearing with the public on Sub 4 which is another improvement project.
