The Forest City Community School Board of Education set a number of legislative priorities for the upcoming 2023 session on Monday night. Forest City Community Schools Superintendent Darwin Lehmann says a big priority continues to be State Supplemental Aid.
Lehmann feels a close eye should be kept toward the potential funding of private schools.
Another priority is teacher recruitment strategies.
Finally, the Forest City School District sees mental health services as a top consideration.
The district will address these concerns with area legislators and Governor Kim Reynolds.
