Earlier this year, the Lake Mills City Council tabled the notion to construct an 18-hole miniature golf course. Concerns were cost and the number of contractors willing to build the facility. After the issue was tabled, work behind the scenes began to make the course a reality.
In a recent meeting of the council, the idea was once again put in motion with the culmination of a contract for construction according to City Clerk Diane Price.
The council will meet again to finalize the contract with WHKS and hopefully begin next year according to Price.
The hope is to bring more people into an already vibrant downtown Lake Mills.
