As Washington D. C. tries to push the rest of the country into green energy, some area cities are getting a jump on preparations to install energy generating units such as wind and solar. In Garner, the city council took steps towards preparing for solar energy generation. Garner Mayor Tim Schmidt explained that the council passed a resolution to the effect.
Garner officials are always looking forward to preparing the city for changes that will affect the city and its residents.
City officials will then begin to set regulations and city building codes around these recommendations.
