Worth County Building Security May Need Updates

The Worth County Board of Supervisors heard from department heads concerning security at the jail. The system has not been working properly and is concerning members of the Sheriff’s Office.

The inmates are secure and the Sheriff’s Office, through its Deputies and the Sheriff are manually handling the movement of prisoners within the facility. Technicians have been called to help remedy the situation. Worth County Sheriff Dan Fank agreed that something should be done.

The county may explore options such as a new security system if nothing can be done to fix the old one.
