Lehmann went on to state that no timetable has been set by the state as to when the guidelines will be issued.
Lehmann stated that his district will notify everyone immediately as to the status of student lunch costs when information is handed over from the state.
In other parts of the country, there are signs that the move is bringing some relief and much needed assistance to school districts and students.
- Allowing SFSP and SSO meals to be served in all areas and at no cost;
- Permitting meals to be served outside of the typically-required group settings and meal times;
- Waiving meal pattern requirements as necessary; and
- Allowing parents and guardians to pick-up meals for their children.
