Many area schools have begun a Grab and Go Lunch Program for their students who have been sent home because of the pandemic. West Hancock Community Schools are beginning to put a program in place according to Superintendent Wayne Kroneman.
Area churches have stepped up in the interim to make sure that students in need received lunches.
The district will take over the program beginning Friday providing one meal that day. Next week, the program will pick up with even more meals.
Any student or parent who may have questions about the free lunch program should call the district.
