A jury has convicted a man accused of fatally shooting another man in northern Iowa’s Kossuth County.
The jury found Jeffrey Winters guilty Wednesday of first-degree murder for the slaying of 54-year-old Randy Page.
Authorities say Page died before deputies reached his Lu Verne home on Aug. 27 last year. His wife had called authorities to report that he was on their garage floor and unresponsive.
State law says Winters, of Livermore, will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The court records don’t list the date of his sentencing hearing.
