Meier Pleads Guilty to Burglary Charges

Jordan Meier of Forest City, was sentenced on the charges of Count 2 “Burglary in the Second Degree,” a class C felony, and Count 3 “Burglary in the Third Degree,” a class D felony, stemming from an investigation by the Forest City Police Department during September and October, 2016. For Count 2, Meier was sentenced to serve an indeterminate prison sentence not to exceed 10 years and ordered to pay a $1,000.00 fine, applicable surcharges, court costs and victim restitution.  The prison sentence and fine were suspended.  For Count 3, Meier was sentenced to serve an indeterminate prison sentence not to exceed 5 years and ordered to pay a $750.00 fine, applicable surcharges, court costs and victim restitution. The prison sentence, fine and surcharges were suspended. Meier was placed on probation for a period of 5 years to the Department of Correctional Services. Meier was ordered to obtain a substance abuse and mental health evaluation and follow through with all treatment recommendations.
