Forest City football team falls to Clear Lake, West Hancock shuts out the Spartans for Homecoming

The Forest City football team fell to Clear Lake 29-0 in Class 2A, District 2 action Friday night. The Lions limited the Indians to 89 yards of total offense, including just one yard rushing. Blaze Anderson had 4 catches for 44 yards. Sam Snyder had 7 tackles and an interception. Forest City is now 0-5, and takes on Osage Friday night. Other Friday football scores:

The Forest City volleyball team went 4-1 at the Boone Tournament, defeating Gilbert, Ames, Boone, and South Hardin, and falling to Waverly-Shell Rock. Forest City is now 18-2 overall, and hosts Bishop Garrigan on Tuesday night.
Lake Mills finished 6-0 at the Bishop Garrigan invitational, sweeping matches from Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, West Hancock, Bishop Garrigan, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, Eagle Grove, and North Iowa. GHV was 3-3, defeating West Hancock, Eagle Grove, and North Iowa.
