Wright County Election Results

Three school districts in Wright County held elections for school board seats. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows and Belmond-Klemme had two races each while Eagle Grove had only one seat open. In Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, Elizabeth Severson won by the slimmest of margins, 106-104 over Beth Jackson for the Director District #2 seat. Megan Ring ran unopposed and won the Director of District 3 seat with 104 votes.

In the Belmond Klemme Community School District, there was a four way race for two Director at Large seats. Gary L. Berkland emerged the winner with 285 votes along with Marc Schlicting who had 173. Both will take seats on the board. James A Swenson had 150 votes and Laura LaRue had 140. In the Director of District 4 race, Rick McDaniel won with 297 votes while Robert Arnold had 79.

In Eagle Grove, both Erin Halvorson and Jon Rowan will take seats in the Director at Large positions on the school board. Halvorson had 37 votes and Rowen had 39. There were no other candidates for the two seats in the election.
