Waldorf’s Sullivan, Brindley, Hupke Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Waldorf University softball players Briley Sullivan, Kaylie Brindley and Hattie Hupke closed out the season with Daktronics-National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Scholar-Athlete honors, which was announced by the NAIA on Wednesday.

It marked the first year for the three Warrior players to earn the national academic recognition.

The NAIA Scholar-Athlete program honors excellence in the classroom by NAIA-member student-athletes who are juniors or seniors in academic standing with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes must have attended their current institution for two full years as a non-transfer student or one full year as a transfer in order to qualify for the recognition.
