Emily Snelling of Clear Lake won her 3rd straight 3A State Golf title Wednesday, carding a 2 day total of 141. Snelling was tied for the lead after Day 1 carding a 70, then shot a 71 on Day 2 to win. Bailee Frayne of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura finished 6th, shooting 83 on Day 1, and 86 on Day 2. Sister Carlee Frayne of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura was 26th, shooting a 95 Day 1 and 97 Day 2. Clear Lake finished 3rd in the team race with a 722. Atlantic took the team title with a 689, New Hampton was 2nd with 700.
In Class 1A, Isabella Capesius of Bishop Garrigan was the highest area finisher, as she finished 14th with a 188. Morgan Luecht of Newman Catholic finished 19th with a 192. Newman Catholic finished 7th as a team, carding an 809. Akron-Westfield won the team title with a 738.
The Forest City softball team defeated Northwood-Kensett in TIC crossover action 12-2 in 5 innings Wednesday night. Callie McQuown struck out 7 in the circle, while allowing just 4 hits. Other Wednesday softball scores:

The Forest City baseball team defeated Northwood-Kensett 13-1 in 5 innings. Blaze Andersen got the win on the mound, allowing just 1 hit. Jacob Wilson had 3 hits and scored 3 runs, Paul Olson doubled and drove in 3 runs, while Andersen and Ben Midtgaard each drove in a pair. Other Wednesday baseball scores:
