Forest City falls to Waverly-Shell Rock in 3A Substate final Monday night


The Forest City Boys basketball team had their season come to a close with a 71-55 loss to top ranked Waverly-Shell Rock in a 3A substate final in Parkersburg Monday night. In a game heard on KIOW, Ryan Theel led the Indians with 16 points, while Sam Snyder added 13. The Indians only scored 15 points in the first half. Forest City coach Dan Rosacker talks about the Indians getting their composure back after the slow start.

Rosacker talked about how the Indians made a run to open the 2nd half to cut the lead to 8 points.

Waverly-Shell Rock was led by Luke Velky and Austin Phyfe, who each had 16 points. Forest City ends their season at 19-5, and says goodbye to 7 seniors. Waverly-Shell Rock is now 23-1, and advances to the 3A State Tournament next week.
