Forest City and West Hancock split basketball doubleheader, Lake Mills takes Top of Iowa Conference Wrestling meet

The Forest City Boys basketball team defeated West Hancock 63-43 in Top of Iowa Conference West action Friday night. Sam Snyder had 19 points and 7 rebounds. Chris Jermeland added 15 and Grady Hovenga 14. Dylan Eckels had 15 points and 7 rebounds for the Eagles. Other Friday Boys basketball scores:

The West Hancock Girls basketball team defeated Forest City 50-43 Friday night.  Kelly Leerar had 16 points, with Brigid Smith and Faith Hammer added 12 for the Eagles. Hannah Anderson had 15 points for the Indians. Other Friday Girls basketball scores:

The Lake Mills Bulldogs won the Top of Iowa Conference wrestling tournament Saturday with 244.5 points.  The Bulldogs crowned 3 champions in Caiden Jones at 106, Gabe Irons at 182, and Slade Sifuentes at 195. Osage finished 2nd with 162.5 points, and crowned Derek Fox at 152, Brock Jennings at 170, and Caleb Ring at 220 as champions. Central Springs was 3rd with 150, West Hancock 4th with 145 points. Nick Lemmon at 145, Hunter Hagen at 195, and Colton Francis at 220 finished 2nd for the Eagles. Belmond-Klemme was 11th with 89.5, as Cameron Beminio at 285 was champion. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura was 12th with 77 points, as Conner Shaw finished 2nd at 170. Forest City was 14th with 50 points. Alec Fett was 2nd at 120 for the Indians.
