The Belmond-Klemme Broncos defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs for the Class 1A District 3 title Thursday night 79-64. Tonight, the Belmond-Klemme Broncos and Lake Mills Bulldogs will play for the Class 1A District 3 title in Garner. The teams split games in the regular season, with the Bulldogs erasing a 17 point deficit to defeat Belmond-Klemme 66-63 on January 17th, while the Broncos blew out the Bulldogs 67-44 on February 10th. The 2014 State Wrestling Tournament wrapped up Saturday night, and Forest City High School crowned another state champion.  Tyler Putney defeated Mario Pena of Hampton-Dumont for the 3rd time this season 3-2 in the ultimate tiebreaker.
