SPORTS NEWS SEPTEMBER 22 2014 The Forest City football team fell to Osage Friday night in overtime 15-14.  The game was tied at 7 going into overtime. The Forest City football team came from behind to defeat Garner-Hayfield/Ventura 19-16 in the district opener for both schools. Tanner Thompson hit Tyler Anderson on a 49 yard touchdown pass with 3 minutes to play for the winning score.  Thompson was 10 of 19 passing for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns, while leading the defense

North Iowa Conference Track results

SPORTS NEWS MAY 14 2014 The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura track teams swept the North Iowa Conference titles Tuesday night in Britt.  The GHV boys won with 154.5 points, while Forest City finished 2nd with 95.  Belmond-Klemme and North Iowa tied for 3rd with 70, West Hancock had 63, Lake Mills 50, Newman Catholic 34.5, and Osage 15. 

SPORTS NEWS APRIL 28 2014

The Forest City boys track team won their Indian Relays on Friday night, scoring 203 points. For the Indians, Grant Lehmann won the high jump, 400 and 400 hurdles, Chad Ullmann won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter runs, Collin Hertzer won the 110 high hurdles, the Shuttle Hurdle, 4×200, and 4×800 relays also won.

THE FOREST CITY INDIAN FOOTBALL TEAM FELL TO RIVAL GARNER-HAYFIELD/VENTURA 7-0 FRIDAY NIGHT, BUT STILL QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS.  THE CARDINALS SCORED THE LONE TOUCHDOWN OF THE GAME ON A 10 YARD BOOTLEG RUN BY QUARTERBACK SPENCER SHAW.  BRADEN MEINTS RAN FOR 187 YARDS FOR THE CARDINALS, WHILE TYLER PRESCOTT HAD 91 YARDS
