The 2014 State Wrestling Tournament wrapped up Saturday night, and Forest City High School crowned another state champion.  Tyler Putney defeated Mario Pena of Hampton-Dumont for the 3rd time this season 3-2 in the ultimate tiebreaker. Putney finished the season at 46-4.  Noah Irons of Lake Mills settled for 2nd at 152 in Class 1A,

The Forest City Wrestling team fell to Clear Lake at the Class 2A Regional dual meet in Clear Lake Tuesday night. The Forest City boys basketball team clinched at least a share of the North Iowa Conference title Friday night with a 67-55 win over Garner-Hayfield/Ventura.
