Good Samaritan Clothes Closet
Salem Lutheran Church is host to a large closet. This closet is used frequently by the school nurse at Lake Mills Community School, Joan Krull, and the director of the Lake Mills Community Preschool and Daycare, Brandon Flugum.
The Good Samaritan Board at Salem Lutheran Church chose to set this up to provide clothing for the needs of those within the greater Lake Mills Community, Salem Lutheran Church, in cooperation with the LMCS District. The goal was to house a Children’s Closet to distribute clothing to children and families in need. It is located at the church and it operates on the donation of the community.
They accept clean, gently-used clothing for children ages four to 16. They are also looking for donations of new undergarments and socks and will accept money to go to-ward these things. To make a monetary donation, mark your check “good Samaritan Fund-Children’s Closet” and drop it off at Salem in the office.
For more information about the Good Samaritan Clothes Closet you can contact Helen Rice, Salem Lutheran Church secretary, or Joan Krull, LMCS Nurse.
NOTE: Gently used children’s clothing. Please have it washed and clean; please no holes or stains. This is a closet for children, this is not a “dump”, but a place to help those in need with clothing. If you wouldn’t wear it, or wouldn’t have your child wear it, throw it out. If it’s great, but no longer fits your child, donate it.
