RSVP Volunteers Have Far Reaching Effects

This is National Volunteer Week. the Retired Senior Volunteer Program or RSVP is one local organization that advocates for volunteerism all year long. RSVP Volunteer Coordinator Linda Willeke says that although their major focus is on childhood literacy, their efforts are far reaching.

Willeke says that the 55+ population of the Forest City and surrounding area are very generous with their time, “giving back” to the areas of need.

Of course, Willieke says that more volunteers are welcome.

Currently RSVP of North Central Iowa volunteers are serving in 12 school districts within the Winnebago, Hancock , Cerro Gordo, and Worth counties. Those wanting to volunteer or find out more should call (641) 422-4303.
