The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors will meet this morning beginning at 9am to first hear from Rhonda Schriever. She will make a presentation on the county tobacco policy. The discussion will center on where employees can smoke on county premises. This will be followed by a presentation by Julie Devine on the AFLAC program for county employees.
Scott Meinders, Winnebago County Engineer, will discuss the current state of secondary roads as the county heads into the planting season. He will cover needed repairs in some locations while other roads are scheduled for grading or possible resurfacing with gravel.
On a related issue, the department is looking to purchase three brand new 3/4 ton trucks for departmental use. This will be the second purchase of new trucks for the department in three years. The board will hear price ranges, models, amenities, and other general information concerning the purchases. There is no mention of whether any action will be taken to approve the purchases.
Other items such as payroll claims, county claims, and minutes approval will take place in the meeting in the Supervisors Room of the Winnebago County Courthouse.
