With the shortage in rental properties in Garner, city officials are looking at ways to address the issue. One of the ways may be to turn a couple of properties in the Cobblestone Estates subdivision into new apartments. Garner City Manager Randy Lansing explains.
The lots in question are Lots 8 and 9 in the Cobblestone Estates 3rd Addition. Lewerke is making a counter offer on a one year option to purchase the lots. The city is looking to offer incentives to all potential developers according to Lansing.
The city council will meet tonight at 6pm to discuss the issue.
