Annual Easter Egg Hunts are taking place throughout the area on Saturday as the area gears up for the Easter holiday. The Britt American Legion Post 315 is hosting a hunt beginning at 10am for children at the fourth grade or lower at the Britt City Park and City Hall.
The Britt Chamber of Commerce will be serving an Easter omelet breakfast from 7am until 11am at the fire station. The breakfast is a free will donation.
The City of Garner is also hosting an Easter Egg Hunt. The annual event will be at 10am at the elementary school playground for children 2 thru 7 years of age. Should the weather not cooperate, the event will be moved into the gym. Organizers are asking participants to bring a sack or basket to hold the eggs. Prizes include Easter gift baskets for winners of marked eggs in two age groups. 2-4 years old and 5-7 years old.
