The Buffalo Center City Council will hold their monthly meeting tonight at the Buffalo Center City Hall beginning at 7pm. The meeting will begin with a Public Hearing on the proposed 2017-18 Fiscal Year Operating Budget. The council will hear concerns by residents and employees of Buffalo Center before voting on a resolution that will adopt the financial piece.
The council will then conduct general business before hearing from concerned residents in an Open Forum. Scheduled to speak are Pam Julius and Dustin Lorenzen on snow removal, Matt Duve on a project update, and Steve Hanson on a Cover 2 Antenna. Employees of the city will also be afforded time to address the council in the forum.
The council will begin to look at the hiring of summer time help in the city. These positions include park positions and at the pool. The council will be given an update on the pool project and the need for a certified pool operator class.
The Streets Department will discuss the need for street sweeper parts while the Sewer Department needs a pump repaired the council will address these issues and possible act on them. Then the meeting will conclude with the setting of a date for the spring Clean Up Day.
