Wright County Board to Hold Public Hearings on the Budget

The Wright County Board of Supervisors will hold their weekly meeting today beginning at 9am. It will take place at the Wright County Courthouse in Clarion. The meeting will open with a review of claims for payment by the county and an approval of the minutes from the February 27th meeting.

At 9:10am, the board will hold an open forum where residents of the county and business owners with concerns can address them with the supervisors. The board will hear the concerns, but cannot act on them until they are officially placed on the agenda in a future meeting. The board may opt to do so or they may direct the concerns to a department within the county to be reviewed.

At 10am, the board will hold a public hearing on the Wright County Budget for fiscal year 2017-18. The public and employees of the county are invited to comment on the budget during the hearing. If there are no legitimate concerns or errors, the board may opt to forward the budget for approval before filing it with the state.
