Supervisors to Consider Appointments, Drainage, and Audits

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors will meet this morning beginning at 9am. Discussion will begin with secondary roads. Winnebago County Engineer Scott Meinders will review issues and new construction projects within the county.

There will be a review of drainage matters with the Winnebago County Auditor’s Office. Some issues will be addressed while others will be scheduled or have engineering reports possibly presented.

The board will also consider the appointment of Wayne Wubben to the North Iowa Regional Housing Association Board. Wayne is the brother to former Supervisor and late Willie Wubben who served on the Supervisors Board until his death.

The county annually holds an external audit of all bookkeeping records. Normally, the audit is done independent of the county officials and is generally contracted out. The board will hear a proposal from External Audit Firm Services to perform the audit for the previous fiscal year. The board may act on the proposed contract or opt to deliberate on it.

Finally, the board may approve a Public Purpose Resolution for a member of the Conservation Department who is retiring. The resolution authorizes a plaque for the retiring employee.
