Wright County Board to Hear Numerous Presentations

The Wright County Board of Supervisors will meet this morning beginning at 9am to hear a number of discussions and presentations. Actions may be taken on any of the matters scheduled for today. The first of these will be a presentation from Jen Sheehan who is the Wright County CSS Coordinator. She will give an update on changes to the AmeriHealth Caritas Iowa Case management model and its effects on the region. The presentation is scheduled to begin at 9:15am.

At 9:30am, Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons will discuss the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Secondary Roads equipment purchases. These are planned purchases for his department in the next budget year. The intent is to demonstrate the need for the new equipment and if it should be placed in the annual budget.

At 10am Katie Talbot and Shelly Zabel of Community and Family Resources will update the board on the Community and Family Resources Programs.

At 10:30am, Luke Hugghins of McClure Engineering will give a presentation on updated GIS for all Wright County Drainage Districts. The board will find out if there are any changes to the districts such as new ditches or potentially increased flow of water from new sources.

Several resolutions will be reviewed and potentially acted on. These include Resolution 2017-08 which is in reference to Iowa Code 331.434 which lays out the details for the Board of Supervisors in how they prepare and adopt the budget. A second resolution, 2017-09 adopts the Compensation Boards recommendations.

Resolution 2017-10 deals with an inter-fund transfer on a fund that is no longer active.

The board will meet in the Wright County Courthouse.
