The Belmond City Council met Monday to hold public hearings and to review the 3rd Street Sewer Project. The council was informed of a change in the cost for the project. The change order went before the board early in the meeting before reviewing the resolution 1813, entitled Accepting Public Improvements on the 3rd Street NE Storm Sewer Project. The council approved the resolution as it directly pertains to the project itself. The council also voted to approve a Certificate of Substantial Completion on the project too.
The council also reviewed various reports such as the Belmond Hospital Financial Reports, the July Financial Report, and the Park Board Report. These were approved along with a Farm Lease Contract with Melissa and Paul J. Spitler.
