Hancock County Supervisors consider maintenance, tax abatement, road closing, & bid for drainage district cleanout

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors met Monday in adjourned session with a brief agenda consisting of a few items to consider.  First item, the Supervisors considered was for water softener quotes for the Sheriff’s Department.  Supervisor Jerry Tlach tells about that.

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors considered abatement of uncollectible taxes on the former trailer court property in Britt.  Tlach explains why.

The Hancock County Supervisors also considered a road closing resolution for approximately 1 mile on 220th Street between Deer Avenue and Echo Avenue just south of Hutchins.  Tlach tells why the road will be closed.

Another board consideration involved bids for drainage districts #1 and 2 Lateral 3 and East Main, located northeast of Britt.  Tlach tells who got the bid.

In other business: the Hancock County Board of Supervisors considered signing two Hancock County Foundation Grant applications – one for the Sheriff’s Department and the other for the County Attorney’s office.  Tlach explains.

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd at 8am.
