Farmers Trust & Savings Bank Celebrates 100 Years on August 23rd

Farmers Trust & Savings Bank (FTSB) in Buffalo Center, Lakota, Britt, Lake Mills and Bricelyn will be celebrating their 100 year anniversary on Saturday, August 23rd at the Lions Club Park in Buffalo Center. Bank officials are inviting everyone for a special afternoon of activities from 3-7pm, and a picnic from 5-7pm.

Activities include free inflatables, face painting, balloon making, sno cones and ice cream cones, which all run from 3:00-7:00pm. Carnival games will also run from 3:00-7:00pm, with tickets costing $1.00 for 3 tickets. All ticket proceeds will go to the community organizations running the games. From 4:00 to 6:00pm, kids can enjoy a petting zoo which features different kids of animals.

registration is required, and can be completed at or by contacting any FTSB location. Cash prizes will be award to the top four teams, and spots are limited. Registration closes August 21st.
There will be live entertainment throughout the afternoon, which includes the Cornbelt Chorus at 3:00pm, Stub Highway at 4:30pm and Tree Town Sliders at 6:15pm. At 6:00pm, the $100,000 contest will take place.

The picnic begins at 5:00pm and ends at 7:00pm. The meal will feature ribeye steaks, chicken breasts and hot dogs for kids. Free meal tickets must be picked up in advance from any FTSB location. Meal tickets are required to eat.

Additional parking for the event will be located at the North Iowa Football Field, with a shuttle running every 10 minutes from 3:00-7:30pm.

Farmers Trust & Savings Bank was founded in 1914, and the bank has grown and expanded into the five branches it is today.
