A western Iowa woman has died in a two vehicle crash that has left another man fighting for his life in an Omaha, Nebraska hospital.
The crash of a car and a sport utility vehicle happened around 8 p.m. Thursday on Highway 30 just east of Logan. The Iowa State Patrol says the car driven by 45-year-old Jody Hustak was found in the west ditch. Hustak was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rescue workers had to use the Jaws of Life to remove the driver of the SUV, 19-year-old Conner Hemer of Odebolt. Hemer was flown to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
