Regional Final Softball results, baseball districts heating up

The Osage softball team fell to Spirit Lake 6-5 in a 3A regional final Monday night in Emmetsburg. The Green Devils clawed back from 2-0 and 5-2 deficits, before the Indians scored a run in the 7th inning. Chandler Banta had a solo home run to lead the Green Devil offense, while Cassidy Mohl allowed 6 hits in the circle. Other tournament softball scores:

The North Iowa baseball team defeated Northwood-Kensett in 1A district tournament action Monday night in Lake Mills. In a game heard on KIOW, Taylor Ostermann picked up the win on the mound, striking out 4. Hunter Gelhaus had 2 doubles, 4 hits, and 2 RBI to lead the Bison at the plate. The Bison take on Lake Mills tonight. Other tournament baseball scores:
