Hancock County Board to Discuss Appointments and Roads

The Hancock County Board of Supervisors will meet in Garner today to consider a correction to personnel policy for work hours for Custodial and
Secondary Road non-bargaining. Then at 8:15 a.m. They will consider appointment to the Board of Adjustment in order so that they can begin filling vacancies to the Board of Adjustment.
They will also talk over and possibly take action on the transfer of a class B beer permit for Hancock County Agricultural Society from the show ring to the skating rink, July 25, 2014-July 28, 2014.
Around 8:30 a.m. Cindy Schleusner, drainage coordinator and Bill Waddingham, Engineer, will present an idea for a  road closing resolution between
section 31, Crystal Township, and section 36, Madison Township, on Maple Avenue between 280th and 290th St.

They will also take action on a payroll change for probationary pay rate increase. Afterwards they will discuss granting a utility permit for Prairie Energy to set new poles in NW 1/4, section 32, Bingham Township, and also SW1/4, section 29, Bingham Township.

At 9:00 a.m. a formal hearing will take place with landowners for open ditch cleanout on DD # 1 and 2, Lateral 3 and East Main. The issue involves plugged drains and brush in the culverts along with dirt and sand.

After the formal hearing, the board will hear from Don Reese, regarding a drainage issue in Drainage District # 7.

The meeting will begin at 8am.
