Rain Outs Cause Rescheduling of Baseball Playoffs and Racing

Storm

Because of the weather conditions today, several events have been postponed. The North Iowa Bison taking on the Northwood-Kensett Vikings regional playoff game in Lake Mills has been postponed because the field conditions are too dangerous and damp to play on. The game has been rescheduled for Monday night at 7pm at Lake Mills. The Southtown Speedway also finally postponed all racing tonight due to the weather. the track will not be able to be recovered and dried in time for the races tonight. The baseball playoff between the Central Springs Wildcats and the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals is still going to be played despite the amount of rain that has fallen today. The new drainage at the Forest City/Waldorf College Baseball Stadium is running off the water and keeping the field manageable. Officials still plan to play tonight with the synthetic turf infield and natural grass outfield expected to be in good condition. You can hear the game on our sister station B-103.1
