The Belmond-Klemme softball team advanced to the regional semifinals with a 2-1 win over 6th ranked North Union Wednesday night. Keyra Cook hit a 2 out bases loaded single in the 7th to win the game. The Lake Mills softball team fell to Saint Ansgar 8-7 Wednesday night. Cede Byrnes had 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Bulldogs, while Kelsie Willert had 4 hits and 4 RBI for the Saints.
North Iowa fell to Newman Catholic in 1A softball 6-3. Paige Hassebroek hit a 2 run homer for the Bison, who end their season at 8-19. Other tournament softball scores:
