The Summer Breakfast and Lunch program in Forest City has seen its usual numbers of students come through the doors to take advantage of the free meal program. The program has been in existence for three years and has served thousands of meals to area students.
Along with that program is an activity program that many students also take advantage of, but organizers say there is plenty of room for more students to participate. Stacey Anderson of the Forest City YMCA and one of the coordinators of the program, told KIOW News that the Kids are continually kept busy:

The program is not just limited to Forest City School District students either. For those who live in the Crystal Lake, Woden, or other areas that the Forest City School District serves, they need to contact the school district to arrange transportation. Students with disabilities are also welcome to participate.
