Brad Leckrone has been working for the counties of Pocahontas, Wright, and Humboldt as the Social Services Director. As of Wednesday, he will leave his post to go to work for Next Generations Technologies. Leckrone resigned after 16 years working for Wright County. Now three counties are left to try and figure out what they will do.
Wright County has already approved a temporary successor. She is Melissa Hill. She will be the new disability coordinator, substance abuse and case manager, and general assistance director for Wright County. Pocahontas County and Humboldt County will need to find their own replacements. There has been no word as to whether they will continue their sharing agreement on the post.
Hill has been charged with finding two new 35 hour a week case managers to offset her responsibilities. The county approved the search for the new positions effective when Hill assumes her post on the 11th. The county wants the search to begin as quickly as possible.
