Fizz, Boom, Read has begun in Britt. More specifically, the summer reading program at the Britt Public Library. The program is geared to get kids of all ages to read more. Adults can also get into the program which will feature different science themes each week. On Thursdays, there will be a summer story hour for kids to enjoy. Kindergarteners through first graders will have theirs from 10:30am to 11:30am. That will be followed by second and third graders from 1pm to 2pm. Fourth and fifth graders will get together for the story hour from 3pm to 4pm.
The same kind of program is being held in forest City and other surrounding public libraries. All libraries are holding their programs through the end of July. The science them will feature nearly every aspect of general science. In Britt’s case subject will include the sea, weather, and the sky.
The program is free and open to the public.
