The Lake Mills softball team defeated West Fork 4-1 in non-conference action Tuesday night. Emily Orban struck out 5 in the circle, allowing 6 hits. Kelsey Srp had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Other softball scores:

The Belmond-Klemme baseball team defeated CAL 12-1 in 6 innings of non-conference action Tuesday, as Elijah Kinseth led the way at the plate, with 3 doubles and 4 RBI. Caleb Torkelson added 3 hits and 2 RBI. Colton Kuhlers got the win on the mound, striking out 6.
The Lake Mills baseball team defeated Riceville 10 – 0 in 6 innings. Taylor Throne picked up the win on the mound, striking out 7, allowing just 3 hits. He also had a triple, double, and 3 RBI at the plate. Other baseball scores:

Tonight, the Forest City softball team takes on North Union in non-conference action. Game time is 6 pm. The Clear Lake girls golf team finished 3rd at the 3A state meet, shooting a two day total of 723. Atlantic won the team title with a 695, while Carroll Kuemper had a 715. Lion freshman Emily Snelling led the way with a 2nd place individual finish at 151, 3 strokes off the pace. In Class 1A, Alexa Capesius of Bishop Garrigan finished her career with a 2nd place individual finish. Capesius shot a 157 to finish 2 strokes back. The Golden Bears finished 4th at 757. Grundy Center was the state champions with a 711 two day total.
