Bishop Garrigan vs. West Hancock: Mother Nature Wins

Connor Sonius took the ball for the West Hancock Eagles in the top of the first inning of the game on Tuesday Night at West Hancock. When he started to pitch, the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears made quick work of it. They scattered four hits, got involved in a run down between second and third, and scored three times. Sonius may have been looking for some relief at that point as it was only in the first.

Mother Nature made the call. It was in the form of rain. At the very beginning, rain was very light, but by the time the second out was recorded, thunder could be heard in the south and the umpires quickly called for a rain delay.

Athletic Director Peterson checked the radar and informed the officials that the game should be called. They obliged and the teams headed for cover. As of Tuesday Night, no  make up date has been announced.

The Eagles will battle Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne on Wednesday evening at the Panthers home field beginning around 5pm. We will have the game on our sister station KHAM B-103 fm.
