The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura track teams swept the North Iowa Conference titles Tuesday night in Britt. The GHV boys won with 154.5 points, while Forest City finished 2nd with 95. Belmond-Klemme and North Iowa tied for 3rd with 70, West Hancock had 63, Lake Mills 50, Newman Catholic 34.5, and Osage 15. For the Cardinals, Logan Dalbeck won the 3,200, Nic Tusha won the shot put, the 4×100, 4×400, shuttle hurdle and distance medley relay teams won. Forest City got wins from Grant Lehmann in the 400 hurdles, Collin Hertzer in the 110 high hurdles, and the 4×200 meter relay team won. Korby Sander won the 100 and 200 meter dashes for Belmond-Klemme, Tate Corporon won the 800 and Connor Smith the 1,600 for North Iowa.
The GHV girls won the conference title with 144 points, with West Hancock finished 2nd 100, Osage had 90, Lake Mills 69, Forest City 62, Newman Catholic 48, North Iowa 45, and Belmond-Klemme 31. The Cardinals got wins from Maddie Tusha in the 400, Emily Mathews in the long jump, 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles, Taylor Vossberg won the high jump, Dasiana Larson the shot put, the 4×100 and sprint medley relays won. Forest City got wins from Ali Peterson in the discus, and the 4×800 meter relay team. Makenzie Thorson won the 100, and Jewel Gasteiger won the 3,000 for Lake Mills.
