The Forest City boys track team finished 6th at the Algona Hackbarth Relays Tuesday night, scoring 53 points. Grant Lehmann won the high jump, clearing 6’ 2”, while the Distance Medley relay team of Tanner Thompson, Riley Moore, Lehmann, and Chad Ullmann won in 3:46.51. Algona won the meet with 189.50 points, Bishop Garrigan was 2nd with 86, Clear Lake had 82, Humboldt 75, and Eagle Grove 55.
The Forest City girls finished with 58 points at the Mason City Mohawk Invitational. Rachel Koch won the 400 hurdles, while Ali Peterson won the shot put. Mason City won the meet with 144 points. Humboldt was 2nd with 128, Marshalltown had 97, Clarion-Goldfield 92.5, West Hancock 84.5, Fort Dodge 68, and Newman Catholic 59. For West Hancock, Maria Gonzalez won the high jump, while Whitney Burgardt won the 100 hurdles.
