An annual event returns to the Garner area on Saturday. It is the Garner Easter Egg Hunt and it will begin at 10am at the Garner-Hayfield Elementary School playground. The event is catered to two age groups of children. Those children who are between the ages of 3-4 who will hunt for eggs in a section blocked off on the northeast side of the playground. The other age group is for children 5 to 6 years old. Organizers will have the northwest side of the playground set up for their hunt.
While the forecast is calling for temperatures between 43 and 53 degrees, skies are forecast to be mostly cloudy and the weather service is calling for a 40% chance of showers which will be later in the day. Regardless, organizers have a back up plan. In the event of inclement weather, the Easter Egg hunt will move to the middle school gymnasium.
