Organizers of a parent information meeting on transitioning youth with disabiities into the workforce, will hold the event on Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at the Clear Lake High School. The organizers of the meeting are the Iowa Parent and Family Coalition and the Iowa Rehabilitation Services. They have committed to assisting youth who have disabilities to be productive workers.
The meeting is intended to discuss what work means to area businesses and communities and to try and find ways to transition youth with disabilities into that workforce. The meeting is free and open to the public. Those who are parents of disabled children are highly encouraged to attend.
