World War II History Symposium to be held at Waldorf College

Waldorf College will be holding their annual History Symposium event March 25 in
the Atrium beginning at 7:30 p.m. This year’s focus will be on POWs, Internees
and Camps during World War II.

Waldorf will be hosting two speakers: Neil
Nakadate and Jerry Yocum. Nakadate, a Japanese American whose family was
interned during World War II, is an emeritus professor of English at Iowa State
University and author of Looking After Minidoka: An American Memoir. Yocum is an
expert member of the Algona POW camp museum in Algona, Iowa.

There will
be a question and answer period following the presentations. The symposium is
free to the public.
